The new moon phase is not much used in magic, but it is nevertheless the ideal phase to do cleaning and discharges in order to distribute towards a new cycle.
One of the easiest ways to do a good cleaning of our house or the place where we work, is simply passing a sahumerio. That is, by lighting a charcoal – already prepared for this – and pouring on herbs, incense or resins. Personally, I prepare them either from rue or from estoraque and myrrh. They are great for taking away bad energies and bringing good vibrations.
The incense prepared in this way should be passed through the door of the house, always in a clockwise direction. Slowly, focusing on what we are doing, room by room. Close windows, open cupboards and drawers and there should be a lot of smoke. Because this is the one that purifies and cleans.
Once we have turned around the house and arrived at the same place where we started, we leave the censer there with the charcoal until it is completely consumed. And then it is thrown in the toilet.
If you do this on a regular basis – alternating on a crescent moon close to full moon – with other incense burners to attract, you will see that in a short time, you will feel a subtle but very real change of energy around you.
